Ellen Pompeo lost about 16 pounds since she recently gave birth to Stella. Even though everybody kept telling her she's too skinny, Ellen doesn't really care about that. Now that she's gained some pounds she reveals her point of view regarding her weight:
"I love it, because everyone always told me I was too skinny before, and I thought, Oh, God, what if there are 14-year-old who think I'm not eating, and then they don't eat? Do I have a responsibility? But really, I don't care if people think I'm too skinny. This is my body. If they don't like it, screw it. [My weight] doesn't matter to me. I have a healthy baby."
Pompeo gives some great advice on how to lose weight and keep your body fit after 40 and it's not the typical Hollywood tips&tricks you read in every celebrity magazine out there. "On Sundays, I premake everything for salads. I boil a dozen eggs and parboil beets. I chop lettuce, cilantro, scallions and parsley and put it all in ziplock bags. During the week, I just grab handfuls, add dressing, dump in a can of beans, some goat cheese, and I'm ready to go."
Ellen says there are some foods she always includes in her diet. These are:
* Bananas
* Garbanzo Beans
* Eggs
* Almonds
* Sardines
* Mangoes
If it works for her, it can definitely work for you too. Ambition and motivation are the key to a successful weight loss program.
